Range Rules

All members are required to be familiar with the Range Rules as published in the SLSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

We have created two new videos focusing on the safest way to enter the Rifle and Pistol Ranges and setting up your firearm on the front bench.

The procedure on both ranges is the same. We are providing a video for each range to help all members visualize the process.

ATTENTION MEMBERS!
PISTOL RANGE SAFETY NOTICE

PLEASE READ

To ensure the safety of all, we have made a change to the target boards at the pistol range because we have had ricochets reported from shots hitting the 2X4’s at the top of the boards and landing in the special use area to the right of the pistol range.

With the new backboard configuration members can now post their targets below the 2×4 on the top and above the 2×4 on the bottom, of the backboards. Please do not shoot the 2×4’s or the posts on either side of the backboards.

You will also notice the new work done on the berm behind the backboards. We are working on keeping all rounds from leaving this location. Your help in matter is greatly appreciated.

Know the difference between a Moderate, Major and Severe Violation of the Range Rules. Download the Range Safety Violation Guide and become familiar with it.
